About the work
A very short SūnWú 孫吳 zǐbù fragment-compilation, surviving only as a small handful of citations in 《太平御覽》. Not in the Sìkù quánshū; sourced from CHANT (CH2a1466).
Abstract
Chén Róng 陳融 is barely attested in the standard histories. The Suí shū jīngjí zhì 隋書經籍志 records his Yàoyán 要言 under the Wú period without further data, and the Sòng catalog of the Chóngwén zǒngmù 崇文總目 lists it as already very fragmentary. The surviving citations — perhaps a dozen lines at most — preserve only short moral sayings and one or two political aphorisms; no programmatic structure can be reconstructed. The date-bracket follows the Wú period (222–280); the received recension is a 19th-century jíyì.
