About the work
A 7-juan Yuán imperial agricultural manual, commissioned by Khubilai Khan and prepared by the Sīnóngsī (Office of Agricultural Affairs). The work was distributed for use by local officials throughout the empire from Zhìyuán 10 (1273) onward; the standard recension dates to Zhìyuán 23 (1286). The work synthesises the Qí mín yào shù (KR3d0001) and Sòng-period agricultural literature with Yuán-period field experience. The frontmatter brackets to 1273–1286.
