A one-juan Southern-Sòng pulse-summary attributed to Yáng Shìyíng, the Fùjiàn physician best known for the comprehensive medical compendium Rénzhāi zhí zhǐ fāng 仁齋直指方 (1264). The work is a zǒng kuò 總括 (“general compendium”) of pulse examination — a concise overview, probably extracted from or written as a companion to the larger Zhí zhǐ fāng curriculum. Abstract

Yáng Shìyíng 楊士瀛 (字 登父, hào Rénzhāi 仁齋) was a Húaí’ān 懷安 (福建) physician of the mid-Southern Sòng. His magnum opus is the Rénzhāi zhí zhǐ fāng 仁齋直指方 (twenty-six juan, 1264), one of the principal Sòng formulary-and-syndromic compendia, which integrates the Sòng-period clinical synthesis with the Jú fāng 局方 commercial-formulary heritage. The Chá mài zǒng kuò is the pulse component of Yáng’s curriculum, smaller in scope than the Zhí zhǐ fāng and likely composed as a teaching extract. Because the jicheng.tw file is essentially empty, this entry is unable to engage with the textual evidence directly; the work is reprinted in modern editions of Yáng’s collected medical works (e.g., Yáng Rénzhāi yī xué quán shū 楊仁齋醫學全書, Beijing: Zhōngguó zhōngyīyào, 2006).
