A Sòng-era anonymous obstetrical-prescription compilation, preserved as a separate work within the broader Chǎnbǎo obstetrical-treasury lineage that traces back to the Chǎnbǎo 產寶 of Zàn Yīn 昝殷 (T’ang, Tàihé era = 827–835). The Sòng obstetrical-prescription literature includes multiple works carrying the Chǎnbǎo designation, and the Chǎnbǎo zhūfāng is one such separately-circulating compilation, distinguished from the parent Chǎnbǎo by its specifically fāngzhī (prescription) orientation.

The catalog meta gives a Sòng dynasty marker with no named compiler. The work is one of several Sòng obstetrical-prescription compilations whose textual relationships have not been the subject of detailed modern philological study.
Composition window 1100–1279 — the full duration of the Northern + Southern Sòng — bracketing the work’s possible composition period, with no closer dating available. The work shares thematic and probably textual relations with the (also-anonymous) KR3ei076 Chǎnyù bǎoqìng fāng and with the KR3ei056 Wèishēng jiābǎo chǎnkē bèiyào of Zhū Duānzhāng; the textual genealogy remains to be worked out.
The Chǎnbǎo lineage descends ultimately from Zàn Yīn’s Chǎnbǎo (T’ang Tàihé, 827–835), one of the earliest dedicated Chinese obstetrical works. The Sòng obstetrical-treasury compilations carrying the Chǎnbǎo title are best understood as Sòng editorial-supplementations of Zàn Yīn’s foundational work. The Hǎiwài huíguī series preserves the work as an independent bibliographic witness.
