Abstract

Zhōu Jǐngshì is otherwise unknown; the Suí Shū 隋書 bibliography records a Xiàozǐ Zhuàn attributed to him. The fragments include tales of filial children displaying extraordinary devotion and receiving supernatural recognition for their virtue. They were recovered from the Tàipíng Yùlǎn 太平御覽 and the Yìwén Lèijù 藝文類聚. The text was lost after the Táng.
