Sūtra on Mutual Correspondence and Mutual Compatibility (parallel to Saṃyukta-āgama sūtras 449–450, and to T101[20]) by 法炬 (Fǎjù, 譯)

About the work

A single-fascicle Western Jìn 西晉 translation of a discourse on the principle that beings of like character associate with one another — those of base inclinations associate with the base, those of noble inclinations associate with the noble. The Chinese parallels are T99[449–450] and T101[20].

Prefaces

The text bears no preface or postface. The only paratext is the Western-Jìn translator’s signature at the head: 「西晉沙門法炬譯」.

Abstract

T111 was produced during Fǎjù’s Western Jìn translation period (290–311 CE), recorded in the frontmatter. The Indic source is presumed lost.
