A single-juan Northern-Sòng commentary by Shénwù Chǔqiān 神悟處謙 (1011–1075) on Zhànrán’s Shí bùèr mén (KR6d0157). Belongs to the second-generation post-Zhīlǐ shānjiā tradition.
Abstract
The Xiǎnmiào belongs to the substantial mid-Northern-Sòng Shí bùèr mén commentarial tradition that developed around Zhīlǐ’s foundational Zhǐyào chāo. Chǔqiān’s contribution provides additional doctrinal exposition focused on the xiǎnmiào (manifesting-wonder) aspect of the Shí bùèr mén tradition.
The composition is bracketed within Chǔqiān’s productive period c. 1040–1075.
