Abstract
The Chánmén yàolüè belongs to the standard Tiāntái meditation-manual corpus and provides the most accessible compact introduction to Zhìyǐ’s meditative apparatus. The composition is bracketed within Zhìyǐ’s productive period c. 575–597.
