About the work
A single-juan late-Míng commentary by Bǎisōng Zhēnjué 百松真覺 on the sānqiān yǒumén sòng 三千有門頌 (Three-Thousand Existence-Gates Verses) — verses summarising the Tiāntái yīniàn sānqiān 一念三千 (three-thousand realms in a single thought) cosmology. The work was collated (較 jiào) by Ǒuyì Zhìxù 蕅益智旭 (1599–1655), Bǎisōng’s contemporary and one of the Míngmò sìdà gāosēng 明末四大高僧.
Abstract
The composition is bracketed within the late-Wànlì through Chóngzhēn productive period c. 1573–1655.
