About the work
This 1-fascicle text is the alternative kē wén outline of 宗密 Zōngmì’s [[KR6e0101|Zhù fǎ jiè guānmén]] (T1884), composed by 宗豫 Zōngyù — distinct from Zōngmì’s own outline (preserved as X1007). The existence of two parallel kē wén outlines of the same parent commentary attests the work’s central pedagogical importance and the scholastic activity around it in the late-Tang Cǎotángsì circle.

Abstract
The bracket adopted here (830 – 900) reflects the period of late-Tang activity at the Cǎotángsì 草堂寺 on Mt. Guīfēng 圭峰山, which Zōngyù is conventionally associated with as a contemporary or successor of Zōngmì. The work is preserved in the Manji Xù zàng jīng (X1008).
