About the work
This 2-fascicle text is an anonymous Korean Hwaeom-school commentary on [[KR6e0109|Ŭisang’s Fǎ jiè tú 華嚴法界圖]] (T1887A). Preserved together with the parent text in the Taishō (as T1887B), it represents one stratum of the rich Korean Hwaeom commentarial tradition that grew up around Ŭisang’s foundational verse-diagram.

Abstract
The bracket adopted here (800 – 1100) reflects the broad late-Silla to Goryeo period of Korean Hwaeom commentarial activity on the Fǎ jiè tú. Modern scholarship has not securely identified the author of this particular commentary, though it is conventionally placed within the post-Ŭisang Korean Hwaeom tradition of the eighth to eleventh centuries. The commentary works through Ŭisang’s verse line by line, expounding the doctrinal content and explicating the structural logic of the seal-diagram.
The Taishō text (T1887B) is established on the standard apparatus.

Other points of interest
- The Korean Hwaeom commentary tradition on the Fǎ jiè tú is one of the most distinctive bodies of East Asian Buddhist literature, comparable in depth to the Chinese commentarial tradition on Fǎzàng’s Wǔ jiào zhāng; this anonymous commentary is one of the principal early documents of that tradition.
