This 1-fascicle text by the Míng Buddhist scholar 善堅 Shànjiān is a compact synopsis of the [[KR6e0010|Avataṃsaka]]‘s main doctrinal-narrative content, suitable for late-Míng monastic and lay readers. The dà yì “main idea” format is one of the standard late-imperial East Asian Buddhist literary genres for accessible doctrinal introduction.
