About the work
This 1-fascicle text by 淨源 Jìngyuán is the ritual manual for the Shǒulèngyán jīng 首楞嚴經 ([[KR6j0118|Śūraṅgama-sūtra]], T945), the foundational Mahāyāna scripture closely associated with the Huáyán-Chán synthesis tradition. While not technically a huáyán work, the Shǒulèngyán was treated by Jìngyuán’s Sòng Huìyīnsì circle as part of the broader Huáyán-school doctrinal-ritual heritage; the present manual extends Jìngyuán’s liturgical-publication project from the Avataṃsaka-tradition core to the closely-related Lèngyán tradition.

Abstract
The bracket adopted here (1067 – 1088) reflects 淨源 Jìngyuán’s mature editorial activity. The work is preserved in the Manji Xù zàng jīng (X1477) collection.
