This 40-fascicle text by 法護 Fǎhù (Dharmapāla, the Northern-Sòng imperial-bureau translator) and his team is the Bodhisattva-piṭaka (菩薩藏) — the Mahāyāna canonical collection on bodhisattva-path doctrine. The text was incorporated into the Mahā-ratnakūṭa tradition as one of its 49 assemblies and stands among the most substantial Northern-Sòng Bǎojī-tradition translation projects.

Abstract
The translation belongs to 法護 Fǎhù / Dharmapāla’s Northern-Sòng imperial-bureau activity, c. 1004 – 1058 CE. The bracket adopted here reflects this window. At 40 fascicles, the work is one of the most substantial Sòng Buddhist translation projects, paralleling the great Tang Bǎo jī and Huáyán projects in scale.
