About the work
This 20-fascicle text by 日稱 Rìchēng and his Sòng imperial-bureau team is the Pitāputra-samāgama-sūtra — the Mahāyāna sūtra on the Buddha’s reunion with his father King Śuddhodana. The text was incorporated into the [[KR6f0001|Mahā-ratnakūṭa]] tradition and also circulated independently.

Abstract
The translation belongs to 日稱 Rìchēng’s mid-11th-century Sòng-bureau activity, c. 1058 – 1078 CE. The bracket adopted here reflects this window. The work is one of the substantial Northern-Sòng Mahāyāna translation projects.
The Taishō text (T0320) is established on the standard apparatus, including the Shīgǔ 獅谷 witness.
