The Great-Vehicle Sūtra Spoken by the Buddha [in Response to] the Inquiry of the Reverend Rāṣṭrapāla by 施護 (Dānapāla, 譯)
About the work
This 4-fascicle text by 施護 Dānapāla (the Northern-Sòng imperial-bureau translator) is the Rāṣṭrapāla-paripṛcchā — the Mahāyāna sūtra on the bodhisattva path delivered in response to the inquiry of the layman Rāṣṭrapāla. The Sanskrit Rāṣṭrapāla-paripṛcchā survives and has been edited by Finot (1901); the Tibetan version preserves the entire text. The work was incorporated into the [[KR6f0001|Mahā-ratnakūṭa]] tradition.
