Abstract

白法祖 Bái Fǎzǔ (active late 3rd / early 4th c.) was a Western-Jìn-period Buddhist translator working in the period 290 – 306 CE per the Chū sānzàng jì jí (T2145). The bracket adopted here reflects this window. He is also credited with the Wǔ kǔ zhāng jù jīng 五苦章句經 and other shorter Buddhist translations; his translations were largely produced at the Western-Jìn capital Luòyáng.

The Taishō text (T0330) is established on the standard apparatus.
