Shèng mán jīng shù jì 勝鬘經述記
Recorded Notes on the Śrīmālā Sūtra by 窺基 (Kuījī, 基說 / lectured) and 義令 (Yìlìng, 記 / recorded)
About the work
This 2-fascicle text is the Tang-period lecture-record on the [[KR6f0045|Śrīmālā-siṃha-nāda-sūtra]] by the great Yogācāra-school master 窺基 Kuījī (632–682), recorded by his disciple 義令 Yìlìng. The catalog meta lists “大乘” as author, which appears to be a placeholder term referring to the Mahāyāna doctrinal tradition rather than a personal name; the actual authorial attribution is to Kuījī.

Abstract
The bracket adopted here (660 – 682) reflects 窺基 Kuījī’s mature scholarly period. The work documents Kuījī’s Yogācāra-school reading of the Śrīmālā and its tathāgatagarbha doctrine — an unusual case of an explicitly Yogācāra master commenting on a foundational tathāgatagarbha sūtra.
The work is preserved in the Manji Xù zàng jīng (X352) collection.
