This 1-fascicle commentary by 智顗 Zhìyǐ (538–597, the founder of the Tiāntái 天台 school) is the Tiāntái-school reading of the [[KR6f0071|Guān wú liàng shòu fó jīng T0365]]. The work integrates Pure Land contemplative practice with the Tiāntái-school zhǐguān (śamatha-vipaśyanā) framework.

The bracket adopted here (580 – 597) reflects 智顗 Zhìyǐ’s mature scholarly period at the imperial Suí court and at Tiāntáishān 天台山.
