This 2-fascicle text by 若那跋陀羅 Jñānabhadra is the latter section of the Mahāparinirvāṇa-sūtra — additional Indic material continuing the narrative of the Buddha’s last discourses beyond what is contained in Dharmakṣema’s Northern Recension (Dà bān niè pán jīng 大般涅槃經 KR6g0001, T0374). The text provides further material on the Buddha’s parinirvāṇa and the disposition of his relics.
Abstract
