This 2-fascicle proto-Mahāyāna Niè-pán text by 竺法護 Zhú Fǎhù is one of the earliest Chinese versions of the Pre-Niè-pán / Mahāyāna Mahāparinirvāṇa tradition.

Abstract

The translation belongs to Zhú Fǎhù’s Cháng’ān period (266–313 CE).
