The Wǔmǔ zǐ jīng (T555a) is the “a” recension of a one-fascicle short sūtra by Zhī Qiān 支謙 (支謙). The narrative concerns a son who in successive past lives had five different mothers, illustrating the karmic ties of family relations across rebirths.
