The Recension B (Taishō-canon recension) of Bodhiruci II’s Vajra-jvāla weather-control dhāraṇī sūtra. The principal entry, with the doctrinal and historical discussion, is at KR6j0221 (T1027A); the present T1027B preserves a parallel transmission descending through the Sòng (大→宋) and Korean (大→甲) editions distinct from the orig line of Recension A.
Abstract
The two recensions T1027A and T1027B of the Jīngāng guāngyàn zhǐ fēngyǔ tuóluóní jīng document a textual divergence within the Chinese transmission of Bodhiruci’s weather-control dhāraṇī. The variants are concentrated in the dhāraṇī-orthography (Recension B preserves a Sòng-line spelling normalisation) and in the ritual-prescription appendices, which differ in their specific mudrā and maṇḍala details.
