A short companion zhēnyán (真言, “mantra-collection”) to KR6j0334 (T1120A, the abridged Mahāsukha-Vajrasattva ritual), preserving the principal mantras of the Śrī-paramādya (勝初瑜伽) ritual cycle as a separate text-block. The text is unattributed in the canonical witnesses but its functional pairing with T1120A (under the same Taishō number 1120, distinguished as A and B) and its content as a mantra-anthology for the Mahāsukha-Vajrasattva cycle indicate that it was compiled as a ritual-companion to Amoghavajra’s translation. The opening section is essentially blank in the source (only typographical placeholders), and the substantive content consists of the mantras themselves in phonetic-Sanskrit transliteration.
Abstract
The text consists of a sequence of mantras in phonetic-Sanskrit transliteration, organised by their function within the Mahāsukha-Vajrasattva yíguǐ: (1) the dīpana (offering-of-light) mantras, (2) the dhūpa (incense) mantras, (3) the gandha-puṣpa (perfume-and-flower) mantras, (4) the bali (food-offering) mantras, (5) the abhiṣeka mantras, (6) the mūla-mantra of Mahāsukha-Vajrasattva, (7) the seventeen bodhisattva-mudrā-mantras of the inner Vajraśekhara maṇḍala, and (8) the closing dedication mantras. The pairing with T1120A is functional: the practitioner uses T1120A for the prose ritual-procedure and T1120B for the precise mantra-recitations, accessing both texts simultaneously for the operative sādhana.
