Abstract
The Dunhuang library cave preserved numerous Tang-period commentary fragments on the Sìfēn lǜ and its prātimokṣa — testimony to the active Vinaya scholarship at Dunhuang and other northwestern Chinese Buddhist centres in the late-Tang period. This three-fascicle fragment is one such commentary, complementing the major canonical commentaries (道宣 Dàoxuān, 懷素 Huáisù, 定賓 Dìng Bīn) and providing evidence for the diversity of Sìfēn exegetical traditions in mid-late Tang Buddhism. KR6k0134–0142 are similar Dunhuang Vinaya commentary fragments.
