A short one-juǎn digest by 智周, compiled (per the colophon “定水寺沙門智周撰”) at the Dìngshuǐsì 定水寺. The Xuzangjing prefixes a sub-title “因明疏抄(略記)” — “Excerpts from the Yīnmíng commentary (abbreviated record)“. The work is a condensed extract from the Qián jì KR6o0023 and Hòu jì KR6o0024, retaining the most important annotations on Kuījī’s Dàshū KR6o0008 in a portable single-volume format.
Structural Division
The Xuzangjing recension is not in CANWWW. The work is a digest of the Qián jì KR6o0023 and Hòu jì KR6o0024.
Abstract
The text opens with the same Confucius / Kǒngsāng 空桑 lemma as the Hòu jì KR6o0024 — citing Yú Bǎo 于寶 Sōushén jì 搜神記 — but in much abbreviated form. The body of the Shū chāo runs through Kuījī’s Dàshū in linear order, retaining only the most pithy of Zhìzhōu’s earlier glosses; it is best read alongside the Qián jì and Hòu jì for which it functions as a compact appendix. The Dìngshuǐsì colophon places the work at one of Zhìzhōu’s later residences (he served at multiple Cháng’ān monasteries during his career); composition is in the same general window as the longer “two records”, c. 700–723.
