Jìngshí dīrǔ jí 徑石滴乳集
Dripping-Milk Collection from Jìngshí — a five-juan Qīng Chán-lineage biographical anthology, compiled by the Línjì-Yángqí master Shānduó Zhēnzài 山鐸真在 (b. 1621), with subsequent continuation (chóng xù 重續) by Jīyún 機雲. The title’s Jìngshí 徑石 is a compound name for Jìngshān 徑山 and Shílín 石林 — the two principal Southern-Sòng Chán monasteries in the Hángzhōu region.
About the work
A five-juan Chán-lineage biographical-anthology, X67 n1308. Non-commentary; commentedTextid omitted.
The text’s dīrǔ 滴乳 (“dripping milk”) title evokes the classical Buddhist image of nurturing dharma-transmission as mother’s milk nourishing offspring. The collection gathers biographical-narrative and teaching-excerpt material from multiple generations of Chán masters, focused on the Hángzhōu-area Jìngshān / Shílín lineage-traditions.
