Fóguǒ Kèqín chánshī xīn yào 佛果克勤禪師心要

Heart-Essentials of Chán Master Fóguǒ Kèqín — a four-juan collection of letters and doctrinal-essays by Yuánwù Kèqín 圓悟克勤 (shì Fóguǒ 佛果, 1063–1135), the compiler of the famous Bì yán lù and one of the major Northern-Sòng LínjìYángqí masters. Compiled by his dharma-heir Zǐwén 子文.

The xīn yào 心要 (“heart-essentials”) format emphasises the most important teaching-content of the master — typically his letters to disciples containing concise doctrinal instruction, a form Kèqín was particularly prolific in.
