Xīsǒu Shàotán chánshī guǎnglù 希叟紹曇禪師廣錄
Extended Record of Chán Master Xīsǒu Shàotán — the seven-juan expanded recension of the sayings of Xīsǒu Shàotán 紹曇 希叟紹曇 (d. by 1279), companion to and considerably larger than the short yǔlù (KR6q0322). Compiled by eight attendant-disciples headed by 法澄 Fǎchéng.

Seven-juan guǎnglù in Xuzangjing X70 n1390 (also Jiāxīng canon). Juan 1 — Fólǒng and Fǎhuá abbacy records; juan 2 — Xuědòu and Kāishàn Chóngqìng records; juan 3 — further Kāishàn Chóngqìng material (these three juan preserve the four abbacy records more fully than the short yǔlù); juan 4 — xiǎocān 小參, fǎyǔ 法語, and xùshuō 序說; juan 5 — niāngǔ 拈古 and attached sòng; juan 6 — tí 題, bá 䟦, and sòng; juan 7 — tíshī 題詩, zàn 贊, and xiǎo fóshì 小佛事. A colophon note at juan 4 (“fǎyǔ hereafter: these two entries were newly inserted”) indicates that the guǎnglù was expanded by inserting additional material into the frame of the earlier one-juan recension.
Abstract
The guǎnglù is the fuller and more broadly circulated of Shàotán’s two yǔlù recensions and preserves the bulk of his occasional prose — prefaces, colophons, tí 題, zàn 贊, funeral addresses — in a format designed for literati readership as much as monastic audience. As with the short yǔlù (KR6q0322), the core four-abbacy framework (Fólǒng 1249 → Fǎhuá 1260 → Xuědòu 1264 → Kāishàn Chóngqìng 1269) is preserved, but with substantially more room in each section. The byline of juan 1 names 法澄 Fǎchéng as principal editor (in the short yǔlù it was 自悟 Zìwù). The guǎnglù continued to circulate into the Jiāxīng canon recension, where it is edition-yuán mainstay for Shàotán.
