Shíxī Xīnyuè chánshī yǔlù 石溪心月禪師語錄

Three-juan Southern-Sòng yǔlù of Shíxī Xīnyuè 心月 石溪心月 (d. Bǎoyòu 2.6.9 / 24 July 1254 per DILA), Yángqí-branch Línjì master at Jìngshān; posthumously styled Fóhǎi chánshī 佛海禪師. Native of Méizhōu 眉州 in Shǔ. Xuzangjing X71 n1405 (and Jiāxīng canon). Compiled by nine attendant-disciples led by 住顯 Zhùxiǎn. Preface by an anonymous literatus dated Jǐngdìng 1.4 (1260, six years after the master’s death) — opens with an extended reflection on the Chán–Confucian bridge represented by Zhū Xī’s known possession of Dàhuì Zōnggǎo’s yǔlù alongside the Mèngzǐ. Includes abbacy records, xiǎocān, shìzhòng, fǎyǔ, and the usual Chán occasional genres. Xīnyuè’s alternate name Chuányī 傳衣 (“Robe-Transmitter”) points to his canonical role in dharma-succession rites. His shorter miscellany Shíxī Xīnyuè chánshī zálù (KR6q0339) preserves additional occasional verse.
