Two-juan yǔlù of Fǎzhù Hǎidòng 海棟 法柱海棟, LínjìYángqí 34th-generation dharma-heir of Chángmíng Xìngjiǒng 性炅 長明性炅 (?–1668), itself the subject of KR6q0524. Native of Lǐzhōu Shímén 澧洲石門 (Húnán); lay surname Chén 陳; father Sānguì 三桂, mother née Zhào 趙. Parents both died when he was 20; left home at 25. Compiled jointly by three fǎsì: Zōngqìng Huìshēng 慧昇 jí, Bìyán Huìqú 慧渠 biān, Zhōngshān Huìdài 慧岱 lù. First abbacy at Shàozhōu Jīnfēng Qīngliánān 卲州金峰青蓮菴; succeeded his teacher at Chénzhōufǔ Tiānyúnshān Pǔfēngsì 辰州府天雲山浦峰寺 on 康熙辛亥 10/1 = 1671-11-02, holding the seat for twenty years. notBefore = 1671 (Pǔfēng entry), notAfter = 1691 (block-printing date: 康熙辛未蒲月夏至前五日刊, Kāngxī 30 / 1691, 5th lunar month). Printed at Jiāxīngfǔ Léngyánsì 嘉興府楞嚴寺 流通正藏 (cf. colophon “板存嘉興府楞嚴寺流通正藏”). Juan 1: shàngtáng, shìzhòng, niāngǔ, sònggǔ, ten oxherding sòng + sìwēiyí, twelve liánfāngjì (verse-bestowal poems for his twelve dharma-heirs); juan 2: jīyuán, fǎyǔ, shìjì, zájì, xiàngzàn, shūxù, fóshì, fǎpài, and the teacher’s xíngzhuàng (biographical inscription). The 法派 transmission-verse runs 海慧明常淨通真達 本源道弘證佛果 紹繼祖燈 — Huì 慧 is the next generation, hence Huìshēng / Huìqú / Huìdài.
