Línwǒ chánshī yǔlù 林我禪師語錄

Four-juan yǔlù of Línwǒ Jiàn Línwǒ Jiàn 林我鑑 (also Hǎibǎo Jiàn 海寶鑑) (1612-05-08 – 1679-03-17, age 68, sēnglà 48), LínjìYángqí dharma-heir of Yìān Yìnshī 易菴印師. Native of Chuānběi Lángzhōu 川北閬州 (Sìchuān), lay surname Hóu 侯, displaced to Qín 秦 (Shǎnxī) in 崇禎十七年 = 1644 by the Sìchuān civil war and based in the Guānzhōng / Níngxià / Gānsù northwest for the rest of his life. Compiled jointly by fǎsì Hǎizhèn 海錱 (= 愚參海金 of Shífāng, xītáng) and Xuělín Hǎicí 海茲 (of Shuòfāng / Níngxià, zhīcáng) děng biānlù. Printed at Jiāxīng Léngyánsì 嘉興楞嚴寺 (流通) in 康熙辛未歲臘月吉旦 = 1692-01 (Kāngxī 30, lunar 12, 1st day).
The yǔlù documents three principal abbacies in succession (titled in juan 1–2): Guānzhōng Jīngyáng Wéntǎ Tiěfó chánsì 關中涇陽文塔鐵佛禪寺 (opening sermon 康熙乙巳 10/15 = 1665-11-22), Chángān Dàxìngshàn chánsì 長安大興善禪寺 (entered 康熙六年 = 1667), and Qínzhōng Níngxià Hǎibǎotǎsì 秦中寧夏海寶塔寺. notBefore = 1665 (opening sermon at Tiěfó); notAfter = 1692 (printing). Other points of interest
This is one of the most northwestern Chán yǔlù in the Jiāxīng Canon, documenting the rebuilding of Línjì Buddhism in Guānzhōng (Wèi-river plain) and Níngxià during the post-1644 reconstruction. Línwǒ’s pre-tonsure life included an unusually long period of Tiāntái-school Fǎhuá lecture-circuit attendance (five years) before he turned to Chán under Bǎochí at Dàsuísì — characteristic of the doctrine-followed-by-Chán arc favored in 17th-century Sìchuān monastic biography. The Tǎmíng notes a fǎhuì of his teacher Yìān Yìnshī traveling personally to Chángān in 己酉春 = 1669 to deliver his fùfǎ, an act of long-range succession-formalization unusual in the Yángqí line.
