Yuánxíng lù 圓行錄

The Catalog of Engyō by 圓行 (撰), = Engyō 圓行 (799–852)

About the work

A single-juan Japanese Tang-pilgrim importation catalog by Engyō 圓行 (Japanese Engyō, 799–852), one of the nittō hakke. Engyō traveled to Tang in 838 (returning 839) in the same Japanese embassy as Jōgyō 常曉 (KR6s0109) and Ennin 圓仁. His catalog documents the texts and ritual materials he brought back, with particular emphasis on Esoteric materials. Preserved at T55 no. 2164.
