The work documents materials acquired through nittō hakke importations or other channels but not formally entered into the standard Heian canonical-bibliographic apparatus. As a supplementary catalog, it is a primary witness to the breadth of Heian-era Japanese Buddhist textual holdings beyond the canonical core.
