Dīng Yì 丁毅 (catalog attribution) / Dīng Fèng 丁鳳 (prefatory-signature form), hào Zhúxīzǐ 竹溪子, of Jiāngpǔ 江浦 (Jiāngsū), mid-Míng physician. The catalog meta of the Hǎiwài huíliú zhōngyī gǔjí cóngshū records the author of the Yīfāng jíyí 醫方集宜 (KR3er021) as 丁毅; the prefatory signature in the hxwd transmission, however, reads 丁鳳 of Jiāngpǔ, dated Jiājìng jiǎyín (1554). Both names are míng (formal personal name) forms; the difference is not a zì / hào relationship, and the discrepancy is most plausibly a scribal misreading or alternative-name tradition. CBDB has a Míng-period 丁毅 at id 344030 with c_index_year 1385, but this is two centuries before the 1554 preface and unlikely to be the same person. Dīng’s biographical detail is otherwise unrecovered.
