丹波 Dānbō
Dānbō 丹波 (Japanese Tanba), 15th-century Japanese physician named in 韓繼禧 Hán Jìxǐ’s 1474 preface to the Korean Shényìng jīng 神應經 (KR3ee029) as a transmitter of the Japanese Yōngjū bāxué fǎ 癰疽八穴法 needling method. The Tanba family (丹波氏) was one of the principal Japanese imperial-medical hereditary lineages of the medieval period.
