Hé Róng 何榮 (hào Xìngyuán 杏園) of Gǔyú 古虞 (Shàngyú, Zhèjiāng) — Qīng physician and Húnán private secretary; prefacer (1809, Jiāqìng jǐsì) of 陳笏庵 Chén Hùān’s Tāichǎn mìshū (KR3ei054). Received the manuscript from his teacher 陳勿庵 Chén Wùān. First cut wood-blocks at Yuèyángjùn 岳陽郡 in 1795 (Qiánlóng yǐmǎo) while serving in Húnán; in 1809 he re-cut blocks at Ānjiāng 皖江 for wider charitable circulation. His preface frames the work as superseding the Dáshēng biān (KR3ei055) and pairs the Shānyīn 錢氏 Qián family with the Bamboo-Grove Monastery (Xiāoshān) monks as the two great Zhèjiāng obstetrical lineages.
