Hé Chángzhì 何長治
Mid-nineteenth-century Ménghé 孟河 (Jiāngnán) physician, zì Shūtián 書田 (under which he is often cited as Hé Shūtián 何書田), hào Hóngfáng 鴻舫. One of the principal prolific physicians of the Ménghé Hé 何 family medical lineage, conventionally identified as a younger brother of 何游 Hé Yóu (= Hé Dànān 何澹安, see KR3ep005). The Hé family is one of the four great Ménghé medical lineages alongside the Fèi 費, Mǎ 馬, and Cháo 巢 families systematically reconstructed in Volker Scheid, Currents of Tradition in Chinese Medicine 1626–2006 (Eastland Press, 2007).
