Mid-Northern-Sòng Qìnglì 慶曆 reform-era Yánguān and military-diplomatic statesman, zì Āndào 安道, posthumous Xiāng 襄, of Sháozhōu Qǔjiāng 韶州曲江 (Guǎngdōng). Jìnshì of Tiānshèng 2 / 1024. Held Yòuzhèngyán, Zhīzhìgào; banished out of court in Jǐngyòu 3 / 1036 for defending Fàn Zhòngyān, becoming one of the famous “Four Worthies” (Sì xián 四賢) defended in Cài Xiāng’s Sì xián yī bù xiào shī. Three diplomatic missions to the Liáo (1042–1045); produced the Qìdān guānyí 契丹官儀 — a key Sòng eyewitness account of Khitan administrative practice. Jīnglüè of Guǎngxī Nánlù ānfǔshǐ (1052–1053), in which capacity he co-suppressed Nóng Zhìgāo’s 儂智高 rising and composed the Móyá commemorative inscription at Kūnlún Guān. Promoted to Gōngbù shàngshū under Yīngzōng. Died Zhìpíng 1 / 1064, age 65. Surviving collection Wǔxī jí KR4d0023 (20 juǎn, edited by his son Yú Zhòngxún 余仲荀 with preface by Zhōu Yuán).
