Yú Biàn 俞弁 (zì Zǐróng 子容), mid-Míng Sūzhōu 蘇州 physician-scholar, active in the Jiājìng era (fl. 1520s–1540s by internal evidence). Author of KR3eq025 Xù yī shuō 續醫說 (10 juǎn), a self-conscious continuation of the late-Sòng 張杲 Yī shuō. Documented as a contemporary of the Sūzhōu literary-medical circle including Huáng Shěngzēng 黃省曾 (1490–1540) and Lù Càn 陸粲 (1494–1551), both of whom contributed prefaces to the Xù yī shuō. A bibliophile and bǐjì compiler in addition to his clinical practice; the Lù Càn preface records his manuscript-copying of bàiguān xiǎoshuō 稗官小說 reaching “several hundreds and thousands of juǎn” — a mark of the mid-Míng literary-medical wénrén style. Not in CBDB.
