Fù Ruòjīn 傅若金 (1303–1342, Sìkù tíyào gives age 40 at death), originally Rǔlì 汝礪; renamed Yǔlì 與礪 by Jiē Xīsī 揭傒斯. Native of Xīnyú 新喻 (Jiāngxī). Cáo Ān’s 曹安 Lányán chángyǔ records that in youth his family was so poor he supported himself by weaving mats, then by needle-tailoring; after some setback he turned to study and his verse became kuàizhì rénkǒu. Studied verse from Fàn Pèng 范梈 and Yú Jí 虞集 (both Jiāngxī compatriots). Recommended by Sòng Jiǒng 宋褧 as yìcái; assisted on an embassy to Ānnán (Vietnam) and on return was appointed Guǎngzhōu wénxué jiàoshòu. Died Zhìzhèng 2 (1342), only 40. Collections: Chūgǎo 初稿, Nánzhēng gǎo 南征稿, Shǐhuán xīngǎo 使還新稿, Niúduóyīn 牛鐸音 — combined by his brother Ruòchuān 若川 as Qīngjiāng jí 清江集 (Zhìzhèng era). Míng Hóngwǔ added 11 juǎn prose + 1 juǎn fùlù. The combined Fù Yǔlì shīwén jí of unknown later combiner is the present recension. Jiē Xīsī’s evaluation: “měi dú yǔlì shī, rú fùjiàn Fàn Déjī” — “every time I read Yǔlì’s verse, I see Fàn Déjī again.” Wáng Shìzhēn judged Fù’s gēxíng to have inherited a yīlín piànjiǎ (one-scale and a tile) of Dù Fǔ.
