Mid-Míng official, native of Póyáng 鄱陽 (Jiāngxī). Served as Yìwū xiànchéng 義烏縣丞 in Zhèngtǒng 6 (正統 6 = 1441), at which post he memorialized the throne regarding the loyalty and martyrdom of 王禕 Wáng Yī (1322–1374, native of Yìwū), and successfully obtained posthumous office and the posthumous title Zhōngwén 忠文 for Wáng. He simultaneously edited the Wáng Zhōngwén jí 王忠文集 KR4e0010 jointly with Liú Tóng 劉同 of Lúlíng 廬陵 — Liú Jié editing juǎn 1–12 and Liú Tóng juǎn 13–24, with each collating the other’s portion.
