Liú Yǎn 劉弇 (1048–1102), zì Wěimíng 偉明, hào Yúnlóng 雲龍, of Jízhōu 吉州 Ānfú 安福 (Jiāngxī). Jìnshì 1079; passed the hóngcí kē (broad erudition exam) in the Yuányòu period and was selected for the Hànlínyuàn. A talented stylist of the late Yuányòu / early Yuánfú period, allied with the Yuányòu (SūHuáng) faction in literary positioning. Held office as Mìshūshěng zhèngzì, Jiàoshūláng, and Zhī Chángshā xiàn. Author of Lóngyún jí 龍雲集 KR4d0107 in 32 juǎn — preserved through the editorial labour of his student Luō Liángbì 羅良弼. Biography: Sòng shǐ j. 444. The catalog gives 1048–1102; CBDB confirms.
