Liú Yúyì 劉於義 (1675–1748), zì Jièrén 介人, hào Wèigāng 蔚岡, native of Wǔjìn 武進 (ChángZhōu prefecture, Jiāngsū). Jìnshì of Kāngxī 51 (1712); his YōngzhèngQiánlóng career is dominated by frontier-supply assignments. Among major posts: Shǎnxī bùzhèngshǐ; acting Zhílì Governor-General (1732–early 1733, with overlapping involvement in the Jīfǔ tōngzhì — KR2k0041 — for which he wrote a preface dated Yōngzhèng 11/2 = 1733/3); transferred to Shǎnxī in 1733 as acting Governor-General with concurrent title Minister of Personnel and bànlǐ of military supply for the Dzungar campaigns, supervising the Shǎnxī tōngzhì (KR2k0050) and presenting it in 1735; later Grand Secretary of the Wényuāngé and Minister of War.
