Liú Qiānzhī 劉謙之 was a historian, probably active in the early fifth century CE, who composed a Jìnjì 晉紀 covering the Eastern Jìn dynasty. He should not be confused with the military figure Liú Qiānzhī 劉謙之 (Jìn shū 84) or with the scholar Liú Qiānzhī 劉謙之 (Sòng shū 9). The Jìnjì is recorded in the Suí shū jīngjí zhì 隋書經籍志; surviving fragments, reconstructed by 湯球 (Táng Qiú, 1804–1881) in KR4k0340, cover events from Emperor Yuán 元帝 (r. 317–323) through Huán Xuán’s 桓玄 usurpation (403 CE). No other biographical details are known. Not in CBDB.
