Liú Dàozhēn 劉道真, hào Chóngxuán zǐ 重玄子 (“Master of the Doubled Mystery” — alluding to Lǎozǐ chap. 1 xuánzhīyòu xuán 玄之又玄), was a Quánzhēn 全真 Daoist of Rǔnán 汝南 (Hénán) active in the late thirteenth century. He authored the colophon (跋) to Xī yí zhǐ mí lùn 析疑指迷論 (DZ 276), dated Dàdé wùxū zhòngchūn shuò 大德戊戌仲春朔 (the new moon of the second month of the wùxū year of the Dàdé reign-period, 1298). The colophon praises Niú Dàochún 牛道淳’s “lofty discussion in two installments, called Xī yí zhǐ mí: pure conversation that withholds nothing of the breast, profound subtlety borne forth in brushwork; what he has nourished his whole life, here is seen.” Beyond this single attested writing, no biographical record survives.
