Wú Wèi 吳渭 (fl. c. 1270–1290), zì Qīngwēng 清翁, sobriquet Qiánzhāi 潛齋 (“Hidden Studio”). Native of Pújiāng 浦江 in Wūzhōu 婺州 (Jīnhuá 金華, Zhèjiāng). Held the office of Magistrate (xiànlìng) of Yìwū 義烏 under the late Southern Sòng. After the Sòng surrender (1276) he refused all Yuán recruitment and retired to Wúxī 吳溪 in Pújiāng. There in Zhìyuán 23–24 (1286–1287) he founded the Yuèquán yínshè 月泉吟社 — the largest Sòng-loyalist poetry contest of the early Yuán — calling for submissions on the topic Chūnrì tiányuán záxīng 春日田園雜興 (“Mixed Inspirations on Spring-Day Farm-Garden”, after Fàn Chéngdà’s well-known series) in wǔ- and qīyán lǜshī form, distributed in the tenth month and harvested by the Lantern Festival of the following year. 2,735 juǎn (rolls) were submitted; Fāng Fèng (方鳳), Xiè Áo (謝翱), and Wú Sīqí (吳思齊) were brought in as judges; 280 entries were selected and posted on the third day of the third month. The resulting anthology KR4h0060 preserves 60 of these entries and 74 poems together with the shèyuē (Society Pact), the shìwén (Oath), and the critical apparatus — making it a unique documentary witness to Sòngyímín literary sociology.
