Wú Nài 吳鼐 (1696–1747), zì Dànián 大年, native of Wúxī 無錫 (Chángzhōu 常州 prefecture, Jiāngsū). Qiánlóng bǐngchén (1736) jìnshì; held office as Secretary of the Board of Works (工部主事). Pre-modern Chinese sources do not give him a birth-and-death range; the catalog meta is silent. Among CBDB’s eight homonyms only c_personid 78169 (1696–1747) fits the required Qing scholar-official, and these dates are followed here. He is the author of one Sìkù-admitted work, the Sān zhèng kǎo 三正考 (KR1e0119), a focused two-juǎn monograph on the technical question of which calendar (Xià, Shāng, or Zhōu) the Chūnqiū uses for its year-and-month notations.
