Lǚ Xióng 呂熊 was an early Qīng dynasty novelist, active in the Kāngxī period (r. 1661–1722). Nothing certain is known of his native place, examination career, or official service; he left no biographical record outside his literary work. His sole known work, the 100-chapter vernacular novel Nǚxiān Wàishǐ 女仙外史 (KR4k0191), was completed and preface-dated 1711 (Kāngxī 50). The novel reimagines the historical rebel leader Táng Sài’er 唐賽兒 as a reincarnated female immortal fighting a quasi-divine campaign against the early Míng court, widely read as a Míng-loyalist allegory. CBDB records him under id 523835 without lifedate data.
