Not the painter Zhōu Chén 周臣 (zì Shùnqīng 舜卿, hào Dōngcūn 東村, c. 1460s–1535, teacher of Táng Yín and Qiú Yīng) — a homonym from the same Wúxiàn lineage but a distinct person. The catalog meta data/catalogs/meta/KR3eo.yaml records the author of Hòushēng xùnzuǎn as 周涇 — a transcription error for 周臣. CBDB lists no clear entry for this Zhōu Chén distinct from the painter (128800 with dates 1460–1535 is the painter).
There is also a Míng painter Zhōu Chén 周臣 (zì Shùnqīng 舜卿, hào Dōngcūn 東村), c. 1460s–1535, Wúxiàn (Sūzhōu) native, teacher of Táng Yín 唐寅 and Qiú Yīng 仇英, prolific in landscape and figure painting. CBDB 128800 (with dates 1460–1535). This is not the author of Hòushēng xùnzuǎn.
